Who may enter:
All photographers ages 18 and over—except for individuals affiliated with Contestreet LLC, including employees, regents, interns, volunteers, and their immediate families (children, siblings and spouses) and others living in their households—are eligible. Professional photographers who earn more than half of their income taking pictures are not eligible. Contestreet LLC will determine winners' eligibility.

Cropped photos are eligible. We do not accept digitally or otherwise enhanced or altered photos. Minor adjustments, including spotting, dodging and burning, contrast and slight color adjustment or the digital equivalents, are acceptable. If Contestreet LLC determines that a photographer has obviously altered his or her photo, they reserve the right to disqualify it and return the entry fee less fees.

An entrant must hold all rights to a photograph. For a photo in which a person is recognizable, you must secure a model release from the subject or, in the case of a minor, the subject's parent or guardian and provide it to Contestreet LLC upon request.

Photographs previously published or pending publication or photos that violate or infringe upon another person's copyright are not eligible.

How to enter:
Please submit all photographs and $150 entry fees online through our Web site at Contestreet.com. We do not accept photographs submitted through the mail. Submit no more than one photograph per entry fee. Multiple entries accepted.

High-quality scans of non-digital photographs are acceptable. Digital photographs should be taken at the highest resolution possible. Use the online entry form on our Web site. Complete a separate form for each photo submitted. Photographs must be in a .jpeg, .jpg or .gif format. Files submitted may not be larger than 1,024k (1Mb). The top 20 finalists may be asked to submit a high-resolution file or an original negative, print or slide. Original photographs will be returned to finalists upon request.

Contestreet LLC reserves the right to disqualify contestants who are unable to submit, upon request, a high-resolution photograph of at least 300 dpi at 5 x 7 inches or an original photo negative print or slide.

By entering the contest, entrants agree that all photos become property of Contestreet LLC. Furthermore, Contestreet LLC has the right to publish and use submitted photographs in print or electronic form in future contests, for advertising and promotion of Contestreet.com, for exhibition and for commercial products. Any photograph reproduced will include a photographer credit.

Entry fee:
All entrant will pay an entry fee of $150. All entry fees will be accepted through a secure PayPal account and held in escrow at Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. in Austin, Texas for the duration of the contest. Contest requires a minimum of 1,700 entries. If the minimum number of entries is not met or if the contest is canceled for any reason, all entry fees will be returned, less transaction fees.

Release agreement:
All photos must be the contestant’s original work. All photo entries become the property of Contestreet LLC and will not be returned to the entrants/photographer. Contestreet LLC claims any & all rights to the submitted material without consideration or royalties. By submitting a photo, all participants agree to have all or any portion of their photo released for possible publication. The winner of the photo contest agrees to a release of all or any portion of their photo and name for possible publication.

Entry deadline:
Entries will be accepted starting July 1, 2008. Voting begins August 15, 2008. All digital entries must be received at Contestreet.com.

Voting:
Judging will be conducted by public voting through Contestreet.com. Voting begins August 15, 2008. The winning photograph will be the entry with the most votes. One vote per person, per photo will be accepted.

The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Contestreet LLC reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. Decisions of Contestreet LLC will be final.

Grand Prize:
The prize for the most votes will be a debt-free warranty deed providing the winner with nearly $200,000 of built-in equity. Current homeowner's will pay for a home inspection, ALL closing costs which include the pro-rated property taxes from January 01, 2008 to the date of closing. All contest winners are subject to paying taxes on their winnings. Therefore, the winner of this contest will be obligated to pay taxes on this prize. However, with a debt-free warranty deed providing the winner with nearly $200,000 of built-in equity, this should not be a financial burden to the winner. Current homeowner does not guarantee $200,000 market value. Winner will be required to get a current appraisal at winner's expense to determine actual market value. Winner will be provided with a Seller’s Disclosure Notice before closing. Winner will accept prize AS-IS and will hold harmless the current homeowner/seller, or Contestreet LLC, for any repairs and/or defects of said prize.

The current property owners make no guarantees or warranties, of any sort whatsoever, concerning the subject real property, the homes located thereon or any of the structures or mechanical systems located on the subject property. Property is offered "as is". However, disclosure forms have been provided on this site to indicate the condition of property and are legal and truthful. There are no known undisclosed defects in the property.

Entrant certifies that the photo being submit is his/her original work and has never been copyrighted. Entrant is entering this photo as an honest and true effort of his/her personal creativity and unique artistic vision, and understands that it will be published on the Internet as original work. Entrant understands that his/her submission will be reviewed before it is accepted for the contest. If photo is offensive, artificially enhanced, a studio image, animation/artwork, or of poor image quality, then it may be disqualified and entry fee will be returned less transaction fees.
